A station won’t play. What should I try?
Try another station and check your connection. Broadcasters sometimes change their stream or restrict access by location. If the same station keeps failing, open Report an Issue in the app. The form shows which station and technical details will be included.
How do favorites move between my devices?
Favorites, recents and preferences are saved locally and can sync through your private iCloud account. Your devices need the same Apple account and working iCloud access. Open Settings → Library & iCloud to check the sync status.
Can I recognize the song that’s playing?
Yes. Radio World shows song details when a station supplies them. You can also request ShazamKit recognition of the playing radio stream. It does not use your microphone. A station’s title can be outdated, and a match is not always available.
What happens when I change stations?
Previous and Next follow the list you selected, such as a Home category, Favorites or the Globe station list. Choose a connection sound in Settings, or select Off. The sound stops when playback starts and is limited to six seconds.
Which devices are supported?
The current build targets iOS and iPadOS 17 or later and macOS 14 or later. CarPlay needs a compatible iPhone and vehicle or receiver. The app is still in development; check the final App Store listing for release requirements.
Do I need another account or a location permission?
You do not need a Radio World account to listen. Optional library sync uses your Apple account. Globe discovery works from the place you choose and does not require your device location.
Explore the globe
There’s no exact pin
you have to hit.
Move the globe, then pause to see stations near the pin. Select a region to browse its stations, and expand the list when you want more room to choose. Auto tune can try a nearby station when you stop moving; turn it off to browse silently. An intentional Pause stays paused until you choose to resume.
Some stations have no reliable location. You can still find them in Search and country browsing.
